ADC100M Series
100 A & 120 A PSA Main DC-DC Converter
Advanced Energy’s Artesyn ADC100M-04 is a Direct Conversion PSA main unit. With the ever increasing power demands of server processors and associated memory devices, new power conversion design approaches need to be considered both at system and server level. The solution to achieve the high power required is to move to a 48 V system with the power conversion design approaches of either distributed power conversion, or direct power conversion employed in the server. ADC100 series follow Power Stamp Alliance’s standard product footprint and functions that provide a standard modular board-mounted solution for power conversion for 48 Vin / 54 Vin to low voltage, high current applications.
ADH1300 Series
1300 W Half-Brick DC-DC Converter
The ADH1300 series half-brick isolated DC-DC converter provides a single regulated 28 V/46.5 A low-noise 1300 W output with > 95% efficiency at half load. With an input range of 36 to 75 VDC, the series is designed primarily for standard 48 V telecom equipment, such as remote radio head (RRH) applications. A fixed 300 kHz switching frequency minimizes external EMI filtering requirements. An open-frame design with an aluminum thermal baseplate is optimized for conduction or forced air cooling. You can operate the ADH1300 converters over -40 to +85˚C ambient and with full power delivery up to a baseplate temperature of 100˚C. The unit follows the standard 1/2 brick dimensions of 2.3" (57.9 mm) * 2.4" (61 mm) and an installed height of just 0.5" (12.7 mm).
ADH700 Series
700 W 1/2 Brick
The ADH700 series half-brick isolated DC-DC converter provides a single regulated 28 V/25 A or 50 V/14 A low-noise 700 W output with >95% efficiency at half load. With an input range of 36 to 75 VDC, the series is designed primarily for standard 48 V telecom equipment, such as remote radio head (RRH) applications. A fixed 280 kHz switching frequency minimizes external EMI filtering requirements. An open-frame design with an aluminum thermal baseplate is optimized for conduction or forced air cooling. You can operate the ADH700 converters over -40 to +85˚C ambient and with full power delivery up to a baseplate temperature of 100˚C. Helping you meet demanding inter-board spacing requirements, the converters feature an installed height of just 0.5 inch (12.7 mm).
ADO300 Series
300 W Digital Interface 1/8th Brick
Designed for use with standard 48 V supplies in computing and server applications as well as regulated 48 V supplies in communications equipment, the 300 W ADO300 series of eighth-brick isolated DC-DC converters provides single fully regulated 3.3, 5, or 12 VDC output. With an ultra-high 95.2% full-load efficiency, the series offers an input voltage range of 36 to 75 VDC and has no minimum load requirement. Choose from digital and analog interface options in industry standard Distributed-power Open Standards Alliance (DOSA) footprints to meet your control/monitoring and flexibility goals.
ADO500/ADO550 Series
550 W Eighth-Brick DC-DC Converters
An ultra-high full-load efficiency of 96.5% and operating temperature range of -20 to +85˚C ambient make the ADO500 and ADO550 series ideally suited for the isolated converter in distributed power architectures supplying non-isolated converters, such as in 48 V supplies in computing and communications equipment.
The eighth-brick isolated DC-DC converters offer single fully regulated 10 V, 500/550 W output, an input range of 45 to 56 V, and no minimum load. The series offers enhanced pre-bias start-up capability and allows for paralleling two converters with automatic droop method of current sharing. A 185 kHz switching frequency reduces EMI filtering needs.
Open-frame models have an installed height of 0.48 inch (12.2 mm) and baseplate versions 0.57 inch (14.5 mm) to meet your tight inter-board spacing constraints.
ADQ600 Series
12 V 600 W 1/4 Brick
The ADQ600 series quarter-brick isolated DC-DC converter produces a single fully regulated 12 V output. Rated at 600 W, the converter can deliver up to 50 A output current and has no minimum load requirement. It has an input voltage range of 40 to 60 V and is primarily designed for use with standard 48 V supplies in computing and server applications, as well as regulated 48 V supplies in telecommunications equipment. ADQ600 series converters have an ultra high efficiency of typically 95.6% at full load and can operate over an ambient temperature range of -40 to 85˚C, making them an ideal choice for the isolated converter in a distributed power architecture supplying power to non-isolated converters.
