Advanced Energy Industries, Inc. announced the launch of the Artesyn AIF06ZPFC series of power factor correction (PFC) brick power modules. Housed in a compact package about the size of a smartphone yet delivering exceptional efficiency and density, the module is suited to medical equipment, drones, autonomous vehicles, and industrial products. The AIF06ZPFC series provides 2400 W of rated output power with a power conversion efficiency of 97.3% and a rated non-isolated output voltage of 400 Vdc. Applications include dental surgical X-ray equipment, insulation test systems, process control and automation systems, high-voltage motors, and high-voltage pumps. The power module features monitoring, protection, and adjustment functions, with a built-in PMBus interface providing a full command and control set and digital communications support, and integrates patented inrush current limiting to simplify application design.
